The current course syllabus and applicable CSN or college policies take precedence over anything on this website.

What to look for#

Use the syllabus to answer questions about:

• Grading categories and weights
• Due dates and late policies
• Required tools and accounts
• Communication expectations
• Attendance or participation requirements
• Assignment submission rules
• Academic integrity requirements
• Office-hour times and appointment procedures

Before asking a policy question#

Check the current syllabus first. If you still are not sure how a policy applies, ask and mention the section of the syllabus you checked.

Why this matters#

Semester details can change. A previous syllabus, old announcement, older website note, or another student’s memory may not apply to your current section. The current syllabus is the reference that matters.
